It has been almost a year since I last posted to this blog. My Bad!
Our Spring travels took us to Dayton, OH for the River Rats reunion with events at the National Museum of the USAF. Irv & Sally LeVine were with us and the guys gave a fantastic show at the Flight Suit Party.
After the reunion we headed to McEntire ANGB to do a show for the Swamp Foxes.
We also did shows for the Lake City, FL VA Hospital patients and the Senior Center in Nowata, OK. It was a long trip but we had good times visiting with friends. Our travels took us through San Antonio, TX and of course a get together with Charlie Huff and Toby Hughes at the O'Club was a must.
We hope to see more friends when we participate in the Tactics Conference at Luke AFB in November.
A Blog where people can discuss, comment, and enjoy Military Music, its history and its contribution to society. Also to keep you posted on our musical trips and the legacy of the warrior musician. -- Dick Jonas --

A couple of updates
The Barnes & Noble store in Prescott had down sized its music department so the Cool Water Band CD's are no longer available there. They are still at The Worm on Whiskey Row along with some of Dick's fighter pilot CD's and books.
Our next trip will be October 13 - 18, 2010. We will be in Colorado Springs to attend the 8th Wing Reunion and to visit our grandchildren. If you are planning to attend the 8th Wing Reunion we hope to see you there.

Dick Jonas CD's available in Prescott
The Worm Bookstore at 128 S. Montezuma in Prescott, AZ is selling both Cool Water Band CDs and Dick's Family Albums 1 & 2 Fighter Pilot CDs as well as the RBAAB and PTF books. The next time you are in Prescott stop into the store and check out what they have.
We were pleased that Angela could come for a visit and join us for Acker. She was a real trouper because we performed on August 21st from noon to 1:45 in 90+ degrees with no shade!
Members of the band left to right: Vic Jeffries; Bass, Tom Calvert; Vocals and Guitar, Angela Jonas: Vocals; Dick Jonas; Vocals and Guitar; seated in the back is Carl Brehmer; Vocals, Lead Guitar, and Fiddle. I ran the sound equipment and took this picture.

Big 22 & Swamp Foxes
Before we returned home in May, Dick also did shows for the Big 22 Reunion in Arlington, VA and the Swamp Foxes ANG at McEntire, South Carolina before they deployed. We had a great time with both groups. They are great hosts. We had a wonderful time with both groups.
